Fianna Fáil deputy for Mayo, Lisa Chambers, officially opens new constituency office in Castlebar.

Fianna Fáil deputy for Mayo, Lisa Chambers officially opened her new constituency office at no.12 lucan street Castlebar, on Friday last. The night was a big success, with the offical ribbon cutting ceremony being conducted by her two grandmothers, Bridie Chambers of Newport and Phylis Stauntion of Ballintubber, whom Lisa has always cited as major role models in her life.

Lisa was joined on the night by family, friends, supporters and Fianna Fáil elected representatives, Deputy Dara Calleary, Senator Keith Swanick, Cllrs Al McDonnell, Blackie Gavin, Martin McLoughlin, Damien Ryan, Paul McNamara, John Caulfield, Brendan Mulroy, Annie Mae Reape, Michael Smith and Michael Loftus.

"I am absolutely thrilled to have officially opened my new constituency office on Lucan Street. This marks the beginning of a full time service for the people of Mayo based out of Castlebar. It has been five years since Castlebar has had a Fianna Fáil TD and I think it signals the beginning of a new chapter for the party here in Mayo."

"Since the election it has been a steep learning curve for both myself and all of the team, but we can finally see the end result of all the hard work and there is a great sense of joy and achievement. I want to particularly thank my team in the office, Sarah-Jane Neary and Ciara Chambers for all their hard work in helping to get the place up and running. I cannot thank everyone enough for their support and encouragement both during and since the election."

"I am really looking forward to the term ahead and to bringing a fresh perspective and approach to politics both locally and nationally. Politics has undoubtedly changed and we are in a totally different political sphere now but in my view that is something to be embraced. As well as bringing challenges, this new political landscape also brings opportunities to change how we do things and allows us to do things better. My focus now turns to providing an excellent service to the people of Mayo and to ensuring Mayo is front and center in Dáil Eireann."
